Needing a new dog bag holder for my dog Gibson I decided to design one in Fusion 360 and 3D print it. Being a novice in Fusion 360, this was a simple project to put my new skills to the test. I took design inspiration from images online that I liked.
The first iteration of my design featured a threaded cap securing the bags inside. This failed due to the thin profile making the threads to peel off and separated the layers. I then changed the design to allow for a pressure fitting cap that could still securely store the bags.
In real world testing another issue occurred. I intended for a carabiner to fit through a hole on the side of the print. The carabiner would then latch on to the leash. This design was to weak and the layers separated. This was a fun project showing the limitless possibilities of 3D printing. With just a little time, patience, and perseverance you can design any item to fulfill your need!
